Data Deletion Instructions

1. Revoke access in Instagram (immediate)

You can cut off our access yourself, directly in Instagram, without contacting us:

• Open Instagram and go to Settings.
• Open Apps and Websites (on some app versions: Website Permissions).
• Find SynnStudio in the list of active connections.
• Choose Remove.

This takes effect immediately: our access ends and no further publishing to your account is possible. The stored token stops working.

Revoking access ends our access to your account. It does not by itself remove the records we already hold — for that, send the deletion request described below.

2. Request full deletion (by email)

To have everything removed, including your business profile and all generated material, send us a request:

• Email privacy@synnstudio.de with the subject "Data Deletion Request".
• Include the name of your business as used during onboarding and, if possible, your Instagram username, so that we can identify your records.
• We confirm your request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. You receive a written confirmation once it is done.

3. What is deleted

• Your Instagram access token — deleted and additionally revoked.
• Your Instagram account ID, username and stored profile fields.
• Your business profile: company name, industry, brand description, tone of voice, audience, locations, logo files and uploaded media.
• Face photographs you uploaded and any personalized image model trained from them.
• All generated content: images, videos, caption texts, drafts.
• Approval history, publishing history and topic history.
• Your Telegram chat ID and the approval conversation on our side.

4. What is kept, and why

Three things survive a deletion request. We would rather say so plainly than promise more than we can deliver:

• Invoices and accounting records — retained for 10 years under § 147 AO (German Tax Code). This is a statutory obligation and cannot be waived by request.
• Encrypted backups — these follow a 90-day rotation and are then deleted automatically. Removing one individual record from an existing backup is technically not possible, so data may persist in backups for up to 90 days after deletion from the live system.
• Content already published on Instagram — it lives on your own account, under your control. Deleting our records does not remove your posts; you can delete them yourself in Instagram at any time.

Anonymised technical statistics that can no longer be linked to you or your account may be retained.
